……And I STILL regularly maintain a budget as a coach. 

 

One of the first things I prioritized right out of college was creating a budget AND it's the best thing I could have done. Through all of my courses at Virginia State University, I gained a deep appreciation for the importance of managing money effectively right from the beginning. It was through these courses and my mom's early teachings that instilled in me - that budgeting and effective money management are foundational steps to pave the way for personal success.

I’m a budget coach who specializes in helping individuals develop budgets and enhance their financial well-being through improved money management skills. I work with each client to create tailored action plans based on their specific needs and goals to foster financial insight. I obtained my BS in Accounting and years later received my MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University.

I am an active participant within the community through membership of several local and global organizations. Through these memberships, I connect with local professionals to promote education and support in the community. These connections help me to provide financial services in the community and potentially worldwide.

Years later, and I still find satisfaction in regularly reviewing my personal budget to ensure it aligns with my needs. This practice allows me to continue making a positive impact on individuals within our communities by promoting financial awareness.
